Overview of Our Research

Our research aims to understand how human cells respond to DNA damage induced by both environmental carcinogens and anti-cancer drugs with the long-term goal of improving cancer prevention and treatment strategies. We use advanced research techniques in cell and molecular biology, genetics, and pharmacology to explore and investigate the DNA damage response. Our research is supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health.
